I aggressively collected geocoins from May 2006 through to the end of 2008. Presented here are 986 of the approximately 1,040 geocoins I acquired during the frenzy.

Canada Christmas Micro (Black Nickel)

Canada Christmas Micro (Black Nickel)

Here we see our favourite water rodent wearing our favourite hat! And he makes it to the icon, too.

The reverse side of all the geocoins was created by Canadian artist Tom Spetter, who says:

A hunter and gatherer by nature, the beaver is known for his sense of community and sharing. It was from the Beaver's pond that the streams, rivers and salmon originated. Raven stole these & flew away. He stopped to rest on the tops of trees, spilling water and salmon, creating rivers and streams. Beaver followed and gnawed down the trees in attempt to get at Raven.

This cute micro geocoin was created by Landsharkz.
