I aggressively collected geocoins from May 2006 through to the end of 2008. Presented here are 986 of the approximately 1,040 geocoins I acquired during the frenzy.

Nero v.2 (Nickel)

Nero v.2 (Nickel)

This rather sad looking critter is the personal icon of geocacher Nero, from Phoenix, Arizona. Nero has informed me about the name and the fuzzy caterpillar character. It comes from the British cartoon Danger Mouse that was created in 1981 and came to the US in 1984. Danger Mouse is a James Bond spoof, with animal characters. Danger Mouse's arch enemy is Baron Silas Greenback, the arch evil villain toad. Greenback has a pet caterpillar named Nero, who sounds a little hoarse!
