Florida Geocachers

I like this geocoin a lot. One reason is that I collect "real" coins in a couple areas (such as this collection), and this geocoin is like a "real" coin. Well, actually, it is like a medallion, which are related to coins. The nice thing about it is that it has NO colour! That's right, no colour. Pulling off a beautiful design with just the palette of the metal to work with is an art. The full relief alligator engraving on this piece is a work of art.

Before I started geocoin collecting in earnest, I had the good fortune to pick up one of these geocoins directly from dgas71. Being a geocoin collector, I regretted not being able to view it when ever I wanted, and that helped push me over the slippery slope of geocoin collecting. (Although I had no idea just how deep the hole goes.)
