Wales 2006

Wales 2006

This is one of the first geocoins I ever saw. Not this one specifically, but another one that was traveling. I moved it onward, towards its demise (disappearance). Cymru is the Welsh name for Wales, and Y Ddraig Goch is Welsh for the Red Dragon, who appears on the flag (and this geocoin).

The reverse celebrates Saint David's Day. St. David is the patron saint of Wales, and 1 March is the day they feast and drink in his honour.
