Alaska 2006 (Silver w/Gold)

This Alaska 2006 geocoin was minted by the Alaska Mint. It is 1 oz of .999 silver with 24k gold relief and rim, and 125 pieces were made. In the photograph, I have chosen to allow the mirrored fields to appear black to set off the devices of the geocoin. This effect is one way of viewing the geocoin in person, depending on how you tip it in the light. The geocoin itself comes sealed in a hard plastic capsule inside a velvet jewelry-style box. A fine, proof-like geocoin indeed, and I love the wolf.
