I aggressively collected geocoins from May 2006 through to the end of 2008. Presented here are 986 of the approximately 1,040 geocoins I acquired during the frenzy.

Kayakerinme #3 - I

Kayakerinme #3 - I

Kayakerinme is a kayaking cacher from Cape Elizabeth, Maine whose geonickname is probably pronounced "Kayaker In Main" (ME being the postal abbreviation for Maine). I was very fortunate to be a recipient of this fabulous panoramic 5-coin set through a trade with Kayakerinme.

Coin #3: I - Mt. Katahdin

Mount Katahdin is the highest peak in Maine and northern terminus of the Appalachian trail. Katahdin is a Penobscot word meaning "The Greatest Mountain." The centre geocoin of this set features the peak of the mountain, but look at the full set below and you will see the foothills and areas surrounding the peak.

Kayakerinme produced 200 sets in antique silver, 50 antique gold sets (this one), and 25 antique copper. You can read more about kayakerinme and this geocoin HERE.
