I aggressively collected geocoins from May 2006 through to the end of 2008. Presented here are 986 of the approximately 1,040 geocoins I acquired during the frenzy.

Scavok 2007 v.1

Scavok 2007 v.1

Colorado geocacher Scavok first pounded out these solid lead personal geocoins by hand in 2007. This is the original version, with his caching name on the front of the geocoin. Subsequent versions have his caching name stamped on the edge, and people were able to have the front customized. As far as I know, this is the first-ever hand made geocoin that is trackable. It can also double as a weapon in case you have to punch a bear in the face while out caching. However, you may have trouble with it pulling your pants down from all the weight, in which case the bear may just laugh at you instead of attack. Which would be good, too.
