I aggressively collected geocoins from May 2006 through to the end of 2008. Presented here are 986 of the approximately 1,040 geocoins I acquired during the frenzy.

Team 9-er Silver Bullet

Team 9-er Silver Bullet

This is the second personal geocoin of Central California geocacher Team 9-er. It was issued in February 2008 in antique gold (100), antique nickel (75), black nickel (50), antique copper (?), and chrome (?). When I first pulled this from a giant box of geocoins, I thought it was an Australian geocoin. Why? Because I thought that was a kangaroo hanging out of the truck. Of course, closer inspection revealed it to be a dog.

Team 9-er started geocaching in late 2004 and was well-known to area cachers and a member of the Blue Ridge Boys. He passed away in June 2012.
