I aggressively collected geocoins from May 2006 through to the end of 2008. Presented here are 986 of the approximately 1,040 geocoins I acquired during the frenzy.

Wisconsin Geocaching Association

This is probably the first geocoin issued by the Wisconsin Geocaching Assocation. The obverse (or what I am taking to be the obverse since it is the side with their name on it) features a very inspired design that looks quite different from other geocoins. Nice job. Also, I always appreciate geocoins that are all-metal, with no paint. They tend to be more "coin-like". The whitetail deer engraving on the reverse is also professionally done, although, with the shiny gold it has to be tipped just-so in the light to appreciate it.
